Yannick's Secret Den

A traditional blog about the life of a French guy

Initiatives Pay Off

You remember this post: One More Step Out of My Comfort Zone? Today, I faced my fears and I signed up for Glossa’s online Polish course—a full-semester program taught live from Kraków! Yes, I did it! I’m super excited because, along the way, I had to have a 15-minute interview with two Polish teachers so that they could assess my level of proficiency and place me in an appropriate group. They decided to assign me to a B1-level group, which is fairly advanced. For comparison, I’m at a C1 level in English and an A1 level in Chinese. I’ll have two 90-minute classes per week, on Mondays and Wednesdays, starting next week.

The lesson of the day is that you do get rewarded when you take calculated risks. This experience makes me want to continue on this path to change my life even more.

I wish the same for you.
